A fantastic naked-eye 3D + AR show was staged spectacularly on the naked-eye 3D spherical screen at Metro City. This "Crystal Ball 3.0" was upgraded and created over three months by Mightary LED, a subsidiary of a listed state-owned enterprise. Combining 3,888 4K high-definition screens to merge the virtual and the real, it has pieced together the world's largest naked-eye 3D spherical screen - the Metroverse.
Behind this success lies breakthroughs made by Mightary LED's project team throughout the entire process, from product design, manufacturing, and installation to construction, acceptance, and delivery. Faced with a heavy workload and significant challenges in the project, Mightary LED selected key personnel from various departments to form a project team and focused on completing the 90-day construction period. After on-site inspections, it was found that to install LED screens behind 3,888 glass panels while ensuring excellent visual effects, new customized modules had to be made for the giant spherical structure with a diameter of 41.2 meters to fit the curved screen. The customized modules increased the difficulty of steel structure construction, and with the sphere being over 40 meters high at its maximum from the ground, the construction and installation difficulties doubled.
The R&D team worked day and night to design the product structure, buying time for production and construction. Mightary LED coordinated its human resources internally and adopted a plan of "external recruitment and internal support" to ensure on-time delivery. Office staff from various departments responded enthusiastically, going to the front lines in batches to work alongside their colleagues. Mightary LED's service and technical capabilities were once again validated.
Over the past 15 years since its establishment, Mightary LED has kept its strategic direction in sync with the country's, actively responding to the "Cities with Thousands of Screens" policy. The "Metroverse" will become an important window for cultural tourism, media, and municipal publicity in Xuhui District. In this project, Mightary LED worked together, overcame difficulties, and successfully completed the delivery, once again proving its technical strength and service capabilities.
