On the evening of December 31, the last day of 2021, as the New Year's bells were about to ring, the Mightary LED team eagerly awaited at Metro City in Xujiahui, Shanghai, to witness the official launch of the 3,000㎡ spherical display. At the stroke of midnight, marking the transition from the old to the new, this spherical display, with a diameter of 41 meters, bid farewell to the extraordinary year of 2021 alongside everyone and welcomed the spirited year of 2022.
The spherical display has become a unique symbol of Metro City, hailed as a dazzling pearl in Xujiahui. To meet customers' high demands for stability and display quality, Mightary LED employed innovative display solutions to upgrade and refresh the spherical display, crafting a new, high-definition, vibrant, and distinctive landmark in Shanghai.
Installing an LED screen inside a glass sphere presented immense challenges. Firstly, with an area of 3,000㎡, the weight of the screen and its supporting structures was considerable, making safe installation a formidable task. Secondly, the tight timeline required alignment with the New Year's lighting plan. To ensure the project's smooth execution, the Mightary LED project team adopted a "day and night" approach, with engineers overseeing the entire process, collaborating with the construction team to overcome technical hurdles, and formulating a feasible construction plan. In just two months, the screen was successfully installed and lit up, once again demonstrating Mightary LED's service excellence and technical prowess.
